Synopsis
For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.
Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same.
My Review
First, I want to say I how unbelievably this book deserve its title. YES. It was thoughtless. I don’t hate the author and second I only write honest reviews so, bear with my whining.
I hate Kiera.
I hate Kiera.
I have never
hated a book character more than I hate her. I have nothing against love triangles since it
give kicks to the story. But I don’t like the idea of the men being best
friends. I mean, what was that? What were you trying to imply? What’s with the “I have the most perfect boyfriend, but I
fell in love with his best friend and oh he f*cked me not once but twice and I
liked it.”? Why do Kiera always
blush? I blushed, I blushed here, I blushed there, and I blushed fucking
everywhere. –Errr—Did I tell you that I’m blushing right now? OH! For the love
of spaghetti! Shut the hell up!
Why did it
take me 2 and half days to read it? It’s horribly wrong but all that was
written was about Kiera’s double timing schemes. YES. I read it. Not because I
liked the cheating part but because I wanna know why Kellan was included in the
best boyfriend list. And YES, I knew
why.
I love you
Kellan. I was touched how you honestly loved Kiera.
What I loved about Kellan is that he was
decided to leave Kiera and Denny for them to be happy. He doesn’t want to cheat
on his bestfriend it was all Kiera’s idea. I promise! He asked Kiera to choose.
Kiera said he loved him and the next time she chose Denny. See how her
whoremones works? It’s completely disgusting. My heart felt heavier and heavier
as the story steps forward. I felt the pain Kiera entrenched to Kellan’s heart.
It was very horrible.
I was really
mad when Kiera pretended to not know what really was going on with Kellan,
whenever Denny kissed her, touched her, or whatever. I was glad when Kellan
tried to hurt her in “Manwhore” chapt. She deserved it!
I loved
Denny. My heart broke when he got to know the real deal between Kiera and
Kellan. Oh my poor poor Aussie Hottie.
Why did you have to make him look like an idiot? When all he did was dream big
for himself and Kiera. All for their
freaking future. How did you think hugging, kissing, and stroking wouldn't lead to sex? Why did you force
me to be in that bitch’s mind? I mean come the hell on! Why did you write a
completely selfish bitch of a heroine? Why didn’t you kill Kiera in the end?
I tried to
understand Kiera. FOR REAL. But I really don’t get why she had to be in a
relationship with Denny and fuck her roommate, Kellan. I think what I got from
this story was its message.
CHEATING IS
GOOD. – NOT.
Cheating
with your bestfriend’s partner is okay. – HELL
NO!
NO, NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
But because
of how Kellan expressed his feelings and how goodhearted he and Denny were, 3
coffee cups. I might read Effortless because of you Kellan, but I cannot
promise when for I really hated every inch of Kiera. FOR REAL!
Denny &
Kellan,
Because of
you two, I wouldn't demand my money and my precious time back. You guys
deserved it.
Me.
Oh wow! Haha! That was a lot to take in. I'm definitely not reading this book. Kiera sounds like an idiot...a selfish, silly idiot. Cheating is wrong, no matter which side you flip it.
